The Glossy Abelia is a  fast-growing evergreen shrub, ideal for climates that struggle with frosty winters (though she thrives in the warmth too!). Growing just about anywhere, in any soil, the Glossy Abelia is ideal for those tough-to-grow spots - including ones with little sun!

Growing up to 2.5 m high and wide, she is ideal for hedging, screening, feature planting container gardening and underplanting. Small pink to white, bell-shaped flowers bloom throughout summer, while new foliage is a bronze/red tone, before tuning to a deep green, glossy foliage. Over autumn that green growth transforms into a gorgeous purple/bronze colour - making her perfect for colour contrast.

Benefits from occasional trimming for best effect and density - many home gardeners trim these beauties into a rounded shape, creating quite a spectacle. This versatile hedging plant is extremely forgiving and ideal for a variety of purposes.
