The Elephant Ear is an evergreen miniature version of the lovely Alocasia ‘Amazonica Polly'. This cute little guy may be mini, but certainly makes quite the impact with his attractive sword-shaped dark green foliage and striking white rib markings and borders providing stunning contrast.

This tropical plant is prized by interior decorators, and prefers a warmer, humid environment with soft or filtered light. Be sure to keep this cutie out of direct sunlight as it can cause his delicate foliage to burn. This little guy is fast-growing, and grows to a height of 400mm – the perfect size to be utilised in indoor gardening, consider positioning on benches, tables, and shelves to great effect.

For Alocasia to be his happiest, keep soil moist and avoid overwatering - no one likes soggy feet! A lover of humidity, the Bambino is happy as an elephant in mud in warm, humid environments like the bathroom. Fertilise this cute guy during growing season and water him less during the cooler months.
