This beautiful evergreen is a gorgeous addition to any garden as a specimen or tub plant, equally happy indoors as it is outdoors. Small white flowers and purple berries are attractive to fruit eating birds, and arrive during the spring and summer months. Growing 1- 3 metres tall, the spectacular burgundy foliage of the Red Back Ginger prefers a sheltered position and is hardy and long living. Add a tropical feel to your garden, while regular pruning with ensure a compact growth habit.
Sensitive to frost and wind; sheltered position. Most well drained soils, mulch in summer. Partial shade preferred.
