The Alternanthera amoena 'Green & Gold', or the Green & Gold Ground Cover as it can be more commonly known, is a bushy evergreen with attractive variegated bright green foliage, splashed with gold splotches that hold colour year round. Small white flowers arrive during the warmer months, making it ideal for mass planting to cover large areas with colour and contrast.

Only growing up to 300 mm tall and a quick-grower, it is ideal for use as a colourful border plant, in rockeries, as a thick groundcover, landscape layering or container planting. She's ideal as a pot plant in patios with her luscious colour and cheery disposition.

Hardy once established - prune regularly to maintain a compact form. Frost sensitive; sheltered position.  Most soils; mulch in summer.  Full sun or part shade.
