Common Name: Tricolour Alternanthera
Availabilty: In Stock
The Tricolour Alternanthera is a very pretty evergreen with striking deep red-burgundy, green and orange toned foliage that holds colour year round. Small white flowers on long stems bloom throughout the year, making it ideal for mass planting to cover large areas with colour and contrast.
Only growing up to 400 mm tall and a quick-grower, it is ideal for use as a colourful border plant, rockeries, container planting for patios, mass planting, colour contrast, layering and ground cover.
Hardy once established - prune regularly to maintain a compact form. Frost sensitive; sheltered position. Most soils; mulch in summer. Prefers full sun, tolerates part shade.
