The attractive Red Threads is a showy evergreen periannual (annual in cold temperatures) bearing slender, sword leafed foliage in stunning burgundy, purple and green tones. This pretty gal flowers on and off all year with relatively insignificant white/burgundy flowers and is ideal as a non-wandering and mounding ground cover, creating a rich carpet of burgundy tones year round. Some will even utilise her as an indoor plant in brightly lit indoor locations! 

The points never stop adding up with this beauty; did we mention she's low maintenance, easy care AND fast growing to boot? And with that COLOUR? Chalk me up as converted!

Growing up to 300 mm tall and 300 mm wide she is perfect for borders, colour contrast, mixed beds, a mounding ground cover, mass planting, container planting, cottage gardens, indoor gardening, hanging baskets and under-planting. Red Threads is also tough to pollution, so ideal for city-scapes and urban environments. The occasional trim can be beneficial to keep growth dense, although this little champ will do well without it. Excuse me while I go add one to my garden right now...

Tender to frost. Moderately wind tolerant. Tough to pollution. Most well drained soils. Full sun for best colour, or part  shade.
