Common Name: Narrow Leaf Myrtle, Midginberry, Narrow Leafed Midginberry
Availabilty: In Stock
The gorgeous Midginberry is an attractive evergreen Australian native with densely packed branches of dark green foliage. A small to medium shrub growing between 1 - 2 metres tall, she is covered in masses of small white flowers in spring and summer, followed by small purple berries that are attractive to local birdlife.
Highly adaptable and versatile, plant out the Midginberry as a dense hedge or natural border. When planted en masse in a row, just wait for spring flowering for this pretty little native to put on a show, encouraging bees and birdlife! To maintain a tight growth habit, we recommend an annual prune to keep her looking her best. Hardy once established, she naturally grows along streams and can handle moderately wet environments and slightly wet feet, so long as the soil is somewhat well draining.
Moderately frost & wind tolerant. Most soils. Can adapt to a damp base. Full sun to part shade.
We apologise but this variety is not available to South Australia due to quarantine restrictions.
You are buying beautiful, happy, sun-hardened (excepting indoor varieties) tubestock with root systems. Tubestock is the youngest plant you can buy, which keeps it affordable (so you can buy more plants *wink*). Please note our infographic included in every plant listing for an indication of sizing. Pictures are examples only, and your stock may be larger or smaller than what is shown.
