Common Name: Bossa Nova, Begonia Boliviensis
Availabilty: Out of Stock ENQUIRE NOW
Begonias are highly prized for their bright, cheery mixed flowers and patterned succulent-like leaves. The Bossa Nova is an attractive variety that offers prolific dainty bell flowers weeping down in varying red and pink tones with yellow centres and almost year round blooms. The branching stems consist of dense bright green foliage that have a deeper pink border... can you say 'Wow'? This fast growing flowering annual is low maintenance and adaptable to most conditions, but thrives with a moist base and regular watering. Beautiful in borders, hanging baskets, mixed beds, container planting, mass planting and indoor gardening.
Growing up to 400 mm tall and 500 mm wide; these little guys easily fill in areas of the garden that need a splash of colour, and are gorgeous when planted en masse. Happy in filtered light or part shade as they suffer in full sun and exceptionally hot areas. Occasional deadheading is effective for maintaining a lush and compact growth. A pretty little houseplant in brightly lit indoor areas, or consider bringing potted specimens indoors in the cool months in especially cold temperatures.
Humidity tolerant. Frost sensitive. Most well-drained soils, prefers moist base (but not too wet). Filtered light or part shade.
