Common Name: Swan River Daisy, Brachyscome Iberidifolia
Availabilty: In Stock
The Swan River Daisy is an Australian annual native ground cover with blue or mauve dainty 'fairy-like' daisy flowers with yellow centres appearing en masse throughout most of the year. This colourful groundcover grows approximately 200 mm high and 400 mm wide, with attractive grey-green foliage and is easy to grow. For a generous coverage, we recommend 400 - 500 mm spacing.
Spreading very prettily when allowed to explore over walls and embankments, it is ideal for hanging pots and cottage gardens;and the Swan River Daisy is even salt tolerant, so can be utilised in coastal gardens. Well suited to mass plantings, rockeries, borders and container gardening, these beauties are hardy to most environments. We recommend light pruning to maintain a more compact form, and to keep well mulched in the summer as she does prefer a slightly more sheltered home in the garden.
Heat, salt, frost and drought tolerant once established. Tender to wind. Most soils, mulch in summer. Full sun or part shade.
