Common Name: Hinchinbrook Bottlebrush, Hinchinbrook Callistemon
Availabilty: In Stock
The Callistemon Hinchinbrook is a squat growing evergreen shrub, that is as hardy as he is gorgeous!
An Australian native, he has vibrant deep-red brush flowers and bright yellow tips, attractive broad foliage with bronze/copper toned new growth. Hardy to drought and frost, and tolerant of almost all other conditions, low maintenance makes him a winner! The flowers are highly attractive to local bird and insect life, and bloom en masse through the warmer months, or even most of the year in more temperate climates. The contained growth habit make Hinchinbrook a great choice for smaller gardens that are still looking for a big 'wow' factor.
Growing 1 - 2 metres tall and approximately 1 - 2 metres wide, this handsome fellow is ideal for privacy screening, hedging, feature planting, native landscaping and attracting bees! The occasional prune is recommended to encourage dense growth for screening or hedging.
Hardy to drought and frost. Tolerant of salt and coastal regions. Most well-drained soils. Prefers full sun, tolerates part shade.
