Common Name: Spanish Shawl, Centradenia Cascade
Availabilty: In Stock
The Spanish Shawl is a fast growing evergreen ground-cover that bears stunning bright-purple, magenta flowers through the spring to the autumn (although ours flowers all through our mild winter too!). The foliage is green in the warmer months, and matures to bronze tones in the cooler seasons, offering attractive, year-round colour contrast.
Growing 150 - 400 mm tall, it is ideal for use in container planting, borders, hanging baskets, window boxes, ground-covers, mass planting, rockeries and been allowed to cascade over embankments. It can be container planted and trained to remain a small shrub, a colourful groundcover, underplanting larger plants or trees, or even planting out in weed-prone spaces to control weed growth. This beautiful little ground-cover is under-utilised and a hidden star in our nursery!
Moderately tolerant of wind and frost. Well drained soils. Full sun to part shade.
