Ceratopetalum gummiferum Alberys Red

Common Name: NSW Christmas Bush, Christmas Bush

Availabilty: Out of Stock ENQUIRE NOW

Ceratopetalum gummiferum Alberys Red, or the Christmas Bush as it can be more commonly called, is a stunning evergreen bearing lacy-white flowers that change to red throughout spring and summer. The pretty foliage throughout the cooler months is also nothing to scoff at, pretty triple leaves appear in bronzed reds when young, maturing into a soft green.

This small feature tree grows 4 - 6 metres tall and is ideal for specimen planting, tub planting (even on the patio), screening, cut flowers, wreath arrangements, colour contrast or added interest. During the Christmas months the flowers tend to have already transitioned to a cheery red, hence the iconic 'Christmas bush' title. The non-invasive root structure and the neat growth habit make it perfect for planting near buildings.

Mild frost and wind tolerance. Most well drained soils; mulch while establishing. Full sun.
