Violet Cuphea, also known as False Heather, is a very pretty evergreen that is covered with masses of tiny violet flowers throughout much of the year. Growing approximately 450 - 600 mm wide, and 450 - 700 mm tall, this little beauty is perfect as an edging plant, for mixed beds, mass planting, rockeries, low hedges, or tub planting. Use to beautiful effect in layering your garden, or it is also ideal for growth in containers as it can be trimmed to the desired shape.
We recommend light pruning required to keep a compact form. Perfect addition for cottage or traditional gardens.
Very low maintenance. Moderately wind tolerant, mildly frost tolerant. Most well-drained, moist soils. Full sun preferred, adapts to part shade.
