Nitschke's Needle, or the Candle Pine as it can be more commonly known, is an evergreen that is a vibrant, upright and quick-growing columnar conifer variety. As with most conifers it is tolerant and hardy to most all conditions, including wind, salt and frost.

The uniform growing nature habit of the Candle Pine is ideal for feature planting on its' own, or just striking planted out in a row for borders, group planting, or windbreaks. Growing 5 - 10 metres tall, this ornamental is a little more compact than her bigger cousins, so therefore popular and suited for suburban city-scapes. She is also prized for contemporary landscaping and English or traditional styled gardening.

Tolerant of all conditions.  Most well drained soils.  Full sun.
