Flindersia australis, or the Crows Ash as it can be more commonly known, is a soaring evergreen tree just perfect for specimen planting or creating shade in larger landscapes. Growing up to 25 - 30 metres tall, the pretty cream coloured flowers appear in the spring, followed by attractive star-shaped seed pods (all of which are very appealing to native birdlife).
This tree has a relatively non-invasive root system, and is ideal for privacy screening, feature planting, and providing shade. The seed pods are popular for use in Australian-native inspired decorating, crafts and floral arrangements.
Most rich, well drained soils. Lightly frost tolerant. Mulch in establishment. Full sun or part shade.
