The Kunzea Baxteri is a hardy Australian native shrub that produces attractive red ‘bottlebrush’ flowers that bloom almost all year round. These flowers are rich in nectar and attract an array of wildlife such as bees, birds, butterflies and many other insects. This low-maintenance plant has small fine foliage with a sprawling growth habit and is ideal to use as a feature shrub, hedge or windbreak.
The Crimson Kunzea grows to approximately 2 m – 4 m in height, and is best positioned in full sun to part shade. Ensure that this plant has well-draining sandy soil for best growth. When established this resilient shrub requires very little water and although it prefers warmer temperatures, it can tolerate light frost.
Drought resistant. Frost tolerant. Fast-growing. Full sun to part shade. Sandy well-draining soil.
