Common Name: Malaysian Orchid or Malaysian Grapes
Availabilty: In Stock
Malaysian Orchid or Malaysian Grapes as its also known, is a striking evergreen with small, light pink berries and flowers that hang in a grape formation, changing into a darker magenta then purple as they mature.
Growing to 1.2 metres, this beautiful exotic and tropical plant grows as well indoors as it does outdoors in the right conditions. The unique flowers hang down from the plant to create a grape-like silhouette and the pretty pink and purple shades of the berry flowers are a lovely splash of colour in any room or garden. The flowers bloom almost year round, and the foliage is a glossy bright green big-leaf. Preferring a bright shade, these plants are perfect for container plantings.
Ideal for hedging or specimen planting, and wonderful in hanging pots as the flowers cascade over the side, creating quite a spectacle. Prefers a porous soil.
Frost tender, humidity hardy & wind tolerant. Most well drained, rich soils; mulch in warmer months. Full sun or part shade.
