Common Name: Thyme Honey Myrtle
Availabilty: Out of Stock ENQUIRE NOW
Thyme Honey Myrtle is a beautiful evergreen graced with fluffy, deep mauve bottlebrush flowers that bloom through Spring and Summer. Although the pretty foliage is fine and dainty, it's the unique flowers that make this girl a showstopper.
With a maximum growth of 300 - 600 mm, the Thyme Honey Myrtle is ideal for shrubberies, small hedges, borders, rockeries, mass planting, and colour contrast. This beauty is also highly low maintenance, due to being hardy, and easy to grow. Perfect for those hard-to-grow areas as she retains her compact size.
Moderately frost tolerant, hardy to all other elements, drought resistant. Hardy to all soils and moisture levels once established. Full sun.
This is a type of Australian "Bush Food" or "Bush Tucker". The flowers of Melaleuca varieties produce sweet nectar and you can suck the nectar out, or soak the flowers in water to make a sweet drink, but this plant is not edible.
