Common Name: Broad-leaved paperbark, Paperbark Tea Tree
Availabilty: In Stock
The Broad-leafed Paperbark is a gorgeous evergreen large shrub or medium tree bearing creamy, white or red bottlebrush flowers predominantly throughout winter. A unique Melaleuca with her pretty weeping foliage and papery, thick white bark. Growing 8 - 10 m, she's happier with wet feet than other varieties and well suited to moist areas.
Perfect for wet areas, privacy screening, fast-growth, cut foliage, attracting birds and insects, erosion control on river banks, feature planting and windbreaks. This low maintenance tree is incredibly hardy and ideal for problem spots in the garden, tolerating both extremely dry and extremely wet environments, whilst also being a vigorous grower and quick to establish. This tough gal will do well in near all circumstances; plant in a row for a screening out sheds or nosey neighbours or for a windbreak to protect your garden.
Sensitive to frost, hardy to all other elements. Most well drained soils. Full sun for best effect, adapts to part shade. Attractive to birds & insects.
