Common Name: Pig Face, Ice plant
Availabilty: In Stock
Don't let her name fool you, Pig Face is a very, VERY pretty variety. Bright flowers in stunning pinks, yellows, oranges and whites burst over the densely growing and spreading succulent foliage throughout spring and into summer. Use as a groundcover planted en masse for a truly stunning and gloriously low-maintenance solution for large areas.
Extremely hardy and tough, she can survive most environments once established. Pop her in your 'hard to grow areas', or allow her to trail over retaining walls or containers to attractive effect. Growing 150mm high and 400 mm wide she is ideal for rock gardens, succulent plantations, edging, mixed beds and steep embankments. You can even keep her inside on a bright windowsill, (but she may flower a little less).
More ladylike than the rest of us, she's a seriously underrated star-performer in our gardens.
Tolerant of drought, salt, wind. Frost tender. Full sun, tolerates part shade. Most well-drained soils.
Hydrangea ssp. White
Sweet Viburnum - Foliage
