Orthosiphon aristatus or 'Cat's Whiskers' as it is more commonly known, is a truly unique, evergreen stunner. Very unusual flowers bloom in the warmer months; light mauve, pink & white in colour... dainty blooms cluster together with 'whisker'-like stamens protruding. The gorgeous blooms wouldn't look out of place in a Dr. Suess book, and certainly appeal to any one's sense of whimsy.

With a maximum height of 900mm - 1.5 metres, Cat's Whiskers is ideal for borders or small hedging with regular pruning, and looks perfect in a cottage garden. It is also used as a herb with medicinal benefits. This very pretty garden addition is much hardier than she looks too, and fast growing to boot. Birds and insects love this shrub, and we're sure you will too.

Sensitive to frost & wind.  Most soils; mulch in Summer. Part shade preferred, adapts to full sun. Attractive to birds and insects.
