Common Name: Solitaire Palm
Availabilty: In Stock
The Solitaire Palm is a very slender, tall palm that is common in North Queensland. It is popular for good reason. Very hardy, it grows to 6 - 12 metres, and it unusually tough and resilient for a palm. The growth habit is elegant and graceful, introducing a quiet tropical flair to any backdrop.
Infrequent, insignificant small white flowers appear at different points throughout the year. The Solitaire Palm is effective planted in tubs and kept indoors (tub planting retains a smaller size), or use for elegant borders or feature planting.
Moderately wind tolerant, sensitive to frost. Most moist soils; mulch in Summer. Full sun preferred, adapts to part shade.
