Common Name: Sage, Dark Purple Salvia
Availabilty: In Stock
Sage (Dark Purple Salvia) is a pretty evergreen shrub with absolutely stunning big, deep purple flowers on tall, upright stems. The attractive green foliage has a clumping growth habit, creating a beautiful accent or mass planting specimen. The striking flowers are highly attractive to birds and insects, especially butterflies.
These pretties are easy to grow, and bloom abundantly from late spring into autumn. Growing 600 - 1500 mm tall, they are ideal for cottage gardens, patio gardens, in containers, cut flowers and in borders for beautiful colour contrast. Hardy to summer heat (but appreciating a nice water semi-regularly), this moderate grower is a perennial in temperate regions and annual elsewhere. The occasional clip can keep this girl looking her best. Add a Salvia to your home garden today, to spectacular result!
Drought tolerant. Most well drained soils. Full sun to part shade. Attractive to native wildlife.
