Spathiphyllum Ishimi (Variegated)

Common Name: Spathiphyllum Variegated

Availabilty: Out of Stock ENQUIRE NOW

Our stunning Ishimi (Variegated) is a lush and uncommon evergreen Spathiphyllum variety. This robust clumping plant bears attractive spear-shaped, scooping foliage in glossy greens speckled with contrasting white; while the iconic white leaf-like bract flowers have a creamy stamen that release a faint, sweet scent at night. One of the few consistent flowering indoor varieties, technically the flowers are the tiny bumps on the stamen, and the white ''petal'' is a leaf to protect the flowers.

This variety is a highly sought after houseplant, and with good reason! Reaching between aprroximately 1 metre high and wide; this plant is gorgeous as a potted specimen, indoor centrepiece, gently weeping atop a plant stand, or for added contrast or interest indoors. Also famous for indoor air purification, makes this happy little fellow prized for offices and living spaces. Adaptable to low lighting, although less likely to flower in low light, they are low care and thrive in most indoor environments

Outdoors utilise in tropical landscaping, underplanting shady spots in the garden, of for attractive borders in the shade. Happily able to handle a damp base (accidental over-waterers, rejoice!), Peace Lily's dislike drying out. If leaves are browning, the culprit is likely not getting quite enough water. Quickly spritz dusty leaves with some water and a damp cloth, with the option of diluted Neem Oil for added shine. We recommend rotating the plant a little each time while watering to prevent uneven growth.

Humidity hardy, frost sensitive. Most well drained soils. Prefers bright, indirect light; can adapt to low lighting indoors. Part to full shade.

Please note: Spathiphyllums are considered poisonous to both humans and pets.
