Common Name: Red Queen, Arrowhead
Availabilty: In Stock
All hail the royal Red Queen, a hard-to-find, attractive evergreen clumping Syngonium. Gorgeous arrow-leafed foliage in variegated tones dappled with bright green and pale pink, creating quite the feature and offer gorgeous contrast mixed with other varieties. Incredibly versatile, this fast grower can be a groundcover, understory plant, planted en-masse or an attractive potted specimen indoors or out.
Growing between 150 - 350 mm tall, this Queen is ideal as an understory plant or lush groundcover with stunning contrast. Outdoors, pop in a nice shady spot or indirect light in those damp, sheltered areas of the garden; she thrives in a warm, humid environment with a moist base (accidental over-waterers rejoice!). For indoor care, we recommend bright, indirect light; the occasional wipe with a damp cloth or spritz will keep dusty leaves at bay, and if she's getting a little leggy or flat - an occasional prune with a little more light will do wonders. Adding pop of colour or added interest to your interior landscape, Syngoniums are even known to be one of the most effective air-cleaning plants available. They are a little sensitive to frost, which is why they're such a sought after indoor variety. We're a little in love, and we're sure you will be too!
Fast growing, humidity tolerant, sensitive to frost. Most well drained, moist soils. Part to full shade. Prefers indirect light indoors.
Slightly poisonous to animals.
