Lilly Pilly Resilience is a small, evergreen tree or tall shrub that grows to 6 metres. It's density of foliage and moderate height renders it as an effective windbreak or hedge, pruning maintaining your desired shape with ease. New growth is light bronze, maturing to a happy and bright green.
White flowers appear during the summer months that are attractive to birdlife. Low maintenance but great results is the key here, Lilly Pilly Resilience requiring very little work, if any. It is also one of the most hardy syzygium varieties, and disease resistant.
Frost & wind tolerant. Most well drained soils. Full sun.
This is a type of Australian "Bush Tucker". Syzygium australe varieties produce reddish coloured berries that can be eaten or cooked, and is typically made into jam or jelly.
