Common Name: Baby Boomer, Syzygium australe ‘Baby Boomer’

The Baby Boomer is a small, evergreen tree or tall shrub that grows to approximately 2 m high and 1.5m wide. It's density of foliage and moderate height renders it as an effective windbreak or hedge. Young foliage is tinted bronze, maturing to a happy and bright green, making this a colourful addition to your landscape.
White flowers appear during the Summer months that are attractive to birdlife. Low maintenance but great results is the key here, the Baby Boomer requires very little work, if any. Then to top it off, Syzygiums are hardy to most environments... what's not to love?
Frost & wind tolerant. Most well drained soils. Full sun to part shade.
This is a type of Australian "Bush Food" or "Bush Tucker". Syzygium Australe varieties produce reddish coloured berries that can be eater or cooked, and is typically made into jam or jelly.
