Common Name: Tiger Grass
Availabilty: Out of Stock ENQUIRE NOW
Tiger Grass is a brilliant addition to any landscape (apologies, but tigers not included). Favoured in oriental style gardens for it's unmistakable flair, it is growing ever more popular in other garden styles. Pink-brown flowers appear in Spring.
It can be planted in large tubs on the patio, or straight out in the plantbed. It grows to a maximum of three metres, making it an excellent screening or natural hedging plant for fencelines or neighbouring buildings. This bamboo style plant adopts the same clumping habitat as bamboo, however without the negatives commonly associated (for example, running roots... perhaps scarier than a tiger).
As Tiger Grass is sensitive to frost, we only recommend mild or warm climates as potential homes.
Frost tender, wind tolerant. Most well drained soils. Full sun.
