The ever popular Ilex Sky Pencil or the Japanese Holly, is a gorgeous evergreen with small deep green foliage that has a narrow and upright growth habit. This columnar shrub grows up to approximately 2 metres high and 500mm wide, making it an ideal narrow hedging or feature plant in the garden!

Low maintenance and slow growing, the Sky Pencil is best positioned in full sun to partly shaded positions, and prefers well-draining soils. Being so low-effort it is perfect for formalising your garden if utilised as a hedge, or for layering for added interest.

Low maintenance. Drought tolerant once established. Hardy to most well-draining soils. Full sun to part shade.
